Instructions

A short guide to setting up this theme and making it your own.

Getting Started

Install Hugo, then run hugo server in your site to work on it locally and hugo to produce the finished static site in public/; the theme’s exampleSite/ is a complete site to start from, and no Node.js is needed. Start with hugo.toml: the site’s name and address, contact details, social links and every menu.

Fonts

Body text is Inter, which ships with the theme. Headings and buttons are Tanker by Indian Type Foundry, whose license does not allow it to be passed on with the theme: download it free from Fontshare and copy Tanker-Regular.woff2, unchanged, into your site’s static/fonts/. Until it is there, headings use a system condensed face sized to match.

Motion

The animations use GSAP and Lenis and live in the theme’s assets/js/motion.ts. An element opts in with a data-anim attribute; remove the attribute and it stays still. Nothing moves for visitors whose system asks for reduced motion.

Content

Creators, services, case studies, blog posts and platforms are Markdown files in content/, and niches and blog categories are its term folders; reviews, pricing plans, FAQs and the team are JSON files in data/. Edit or add an entry and every list, filter, search result and detail page that uses it follows. The theme’s customizing guide lists every field.

Forms

The contact, book-talent and newsletter forms post to the endpoints you set in params.forms in your site’s configuration. They are empty to begin with, so until you connect a form service (Formspree, Basin, Netlify Forms or your own API) each form tells the visitor plainly that nothing was sent.

Three Home Pages

The theme ships three homes: Agency at /, Individual at /individual/ and Marketplace at /marketplace/. Keep the one that fits, delete the other pages, and remove them from menus.main and menus.footer in hugo.toml.

Colors and Type

The palette, type scale and spacing are design tokens in the theme’s tailwind/theme.css; change a value there, rebuild the stylesheet (npm run build:css) and the whole site follows. The Style Guide shows each of them. Hand-written corrections go in tailwind/additions.css.

Before Publishing

Set baseURL in hugo.toml, replace the demo creators, photos, videos and placeholder logos with your own (see the License page), review the Privacy Policy and Terms with your own counsel, and delete pages you do not need, such as the password page at /401/.
